Pronunciation: cheek’chan
Common Mayan usage: serpent
Qualities: vitality, passion, sensing, body wisdom, motivation, desire, instinct, creativity, serpent power, kundalini, integration, purification, intimacy

Gayle’s Reflection:
“Chicchan is the vital life force that encourages you to act intuitively in the moment! Follow your gut-level instincts and intuition.” (The Mayan Oracle). Check in with your intuitive places today. The Oracle has been suggesting you do that all week. Why resist? Trust your body wisdom to tell you the truth about a situation.

Maybe you can body dowse yes or no.
Maybe if you are feeling good about something move toward it.
If it doesn’t feel good, trust that your body is trying to tell you and move away from it.
Sometimes this is the most accurate thing you can do for yourself…trusting your instincts.
They are often very correct right?

Make a note of your feelings and learn not to override them with a thought of reasoning or logic. Sometimes that is not the best choice. Remember your body holds infinite amounts of data and processes without your even thinking about it. This wisdom cannot be better suited to anyone but you.

Now repeat after me… Affirmation: “I joyfully access and experience the wisdom and vitality held in my body.”

Pronunciation: ee’meesh
Qualities: source of life, divine nurturance and support, primordial Mother, undivided primal waters, primal trust and nourishment, receptivity.

Gayle’s Reflection:
Today is a day for divine nurturance. I gave myself time for a healing massage today. Yes that is what I am doing to nurture myself today. How did I know it would match up so perfectly?

How can you nourish yourself today? Well the cosmos says GO FOR IT NOW! So I guess you have permission. You are in alignment with receiving so the potentiality for healings is quite strong. Go deeper than you might previously have chosen to, knowing there is full support for you to embrace these deeper places within.

Imix is the first card in the cycle of 20 glyph cards and represents the root source of life, the primal waters from whence we came. Imix tells us that the Divine Mother nourishes and supports us unconditionally. It doesn’t matter who we are…we are entitled to receive that loving support. The more we understand this the more we open to receive the sustenance and begin to trust that it is always available to us.

Today I repeat the affirmation and thank the Divine Mother who connects us all in the sweet song of creation.

Affirmation: “I trust unconditionally the source of divine nurturance.”
