Day 5 S.O.S Poetry Project
“Your Life Task”
By Barbara Brennan
It is with deep respect and honor
that we greet you…
to honor your individuality
as it is now;
to honor each individual’s tradition,
your environment,
your framework of reality
and your sacred human heart.
It is no accident that you are here now
in this incarnation,
in this time of your so-called history
to bring forth the light…
to learn to center in this divine essence
within you;
to bring your gifts to all of humanity
in this time of great need
everywhere on this planet.
And so I ask you…
What is your heart’s desire?
What is it that you wish to create in your life?
What are the gifts that you wish to give to others?
What is it that you have brought to this earth to do?
What is this holy task that you are here to accomplish?
Your heart’s desire is your life task!
Gayle’s Reflection
We come into this human incarnation so vulnerable and require care from others. When we leave it, often the same is true. The in between time we spend on earth in an attempt to answer or fulfill the questions at the end of the verse of wisdom.
As we create and fulfill to our satisfaction each desire, wish and gift, we get a little closer to understanding what the holy task is that we came here to accomplish. Take time to reflect, review and understand consciously where you are now and how you got here. Then let it go and choose again what brings joy to your heart. Allow it to enter and swirl around in that cup of passion that you are. Choose to pick up the holy chalice and drink in from it.
Do not be fooled into thinking that because the word holy is indentified here that you must choose a task or job that is of a spiritual nature or higher order. That is not what is needed. What is needed is for you to open to understand that all you do in life is holy. Preparing a meal for your family, mowing the lawn and tending a garden is holy. Each task when performed with love, conscious awareness and consideration for the light of people, plants, animals, earth, the mineral kingdom and the spirit realms around you makes it a holy task. Especially, when one remembers to bring the flow of love into it.
As Barbara says honor it. Honor all of it through your sacred heart. Loving gratitude brings this energy into a difficult circumstance and transforms it. That makes it holy…the miracle of transformation through love or gratitude or both.
Think of it…so much change…so much transformation in our daily lives on a daily basis when viewed as holy creates relief instead of stress. The body relaxes and transforms itself within. Stress creates illness. Love creates health. It is a choice of perception and feeling response of the experience that makes the difference.
Begin to realize we are living in a stream of holy water, consciousness and activity. Notice when you apply love you will feel the stress roll away. Thinking in this form can bring ease to paying your bills- A holy action. It could melt away the challenge of the bully when we feel the fear he feels and bless it with love-A Holy Act. The bully will soften and be transformed through love.
This is a practice to witness in ourselves, what we want to create in fulfillment of choices we made on the other side between death and birth. See yourself as a holy creator, with a holy purpose to create love and do it through the desire of your heart. This is the precious gift you get to choose and then share with others. Use it to bring forth more holy light, more holy love. Watch your self change and become more relaxed and joyful.
Thank you Barbara for helping witness my precious life as a holy task. I continue to enjoy this unfolding process of becoming a writer and teacher of the light.
See you tomorrow.
Love, Gayle
